The first mass determination was made by Hertz in 1966 (4 Vesta). In the 1970ies the mass of Ceres and Pallas were computed (mainly contributions by Schubart). Some papers on Ceres, Pallas and Hygiea were published in the 1980ies. The following (reference) list by Jim Baer do not consider all the early work in the late 1960ies until the 1980ies.

Currently the most comprehensive list of recent asteroid mass determinations is compiled and maintained by Jim Baer.
