Occultation Observation (Status: review in progress !)
Occultation Date : 2025-12-25 Star Designation : Other Other J073342.11+091721.9 Object Designation : (676) Melitta Observation Result : O+ Observer(s) : Michael OConnell Start Observation UT1 : 01:10:54 Disappearance UT2 : 01:11:40.15 +/- 0.050 Reappearance UT3 : 01:11:45.90 +/- 0.050 End Observation UT4 : 01:12:31 Duration [sec] : 5.75 Site Name : Dublin Country Code : IE Observation Method : VID Time Source : NTP Instrument/Optics : M350 Record last modified : 2025-12-27 11:53:19 Source / Reference : SODIS (account required) Observer Comments : Used a different camera than normal. Recorded the .adv file at Bin1x1 which was way too high a resolution for this camera and telescope. The large video file resulted in processing difficulties in Tangra. Furthermore, the target star was also near another similarly bright star. The result was that the data in the .csv file of the target star did not always register signal and background values for each frame, even though the comparison star was fine. Where signal and background data were missing, I checked the video and copied across the infill data from the nearest frame. In particular, I checked the disappearance and reappearance values and made sure they were correct versus the video. Overall, I am satisfied that the D and R times are correct.
