Occultation Observation (Status: published)
Occultation Date : 2026-06-24 Star Designation : UCAC4 598-068283 Object Designation : (152637) 1997 NC1 Observation Result : O- Observer(s) : Nigel Wakefield Start Observation UT1 : 23:24:02 Disappearance UT2 : :: Reappearance UT3 : :: End Observation UT4 : 23:25:06 Duration [sec] : Site Name : Burnham-on-Sea Country Code : GB Observation Method : VID Time Source : GPS Instrument/Optics : M250 Record last modified : 2026-06-25 15:47:15 Source / Reference : SODIS (account required) Observer Comments : Increased brightness of target star due to the asteroid entering the measurement field and hence measuring both objects. It was not possible to separate the two objects on screen. If there was an occultation the brightness would show a dip to the brightness of the asteroid only ( star 11.2mag, asteroid 11.5mag, from OWC ). [ Reviewer: OK, thanks for the clear explanation - TimH ]
