Occultation Observation (Status: published)
Occultation Date : 2023-07-21 Star Designation : UCAC4 335-114291 Object Designation : (171) Ophelia Observation Result : O+ Observer(s) : Jean Bourgeois Start Observation UT1 : 21:15:00 Disappearance UT2 : 21:15:42.70 +/- 1.2 Reappearance UT3 : 21:15:46.20 +/- 0.6 End Observation UT4 : 21:17:00 Duration [sec] : 3.50 Site Name : Beauraing Country Code : BE Observation Method : VID Time Source : GPS Instrument/Optics : M200 Record last modified : 2023-07-31 23:55:37 Source / Reference : SODIS (account required) Observer Comments : The probability of the event was 100 percent. Noisy LC showing 0.4 mag drop around expected time. However, the duration seems very short compared to the much longer chord already obtained at 12 km for this event (observation by O. Schreurs). Hypothetical near-graze here in regard of the Damit 1169 model? D and R weights are set to 0 as a precaution.
