Occultation Observation (Status: published)
Occultation Date : 2025-08-07 Star Designation : TYC 5827-00857-1 Object Designation : (167363) 2003 WH46 Observation Result : O+ Observer(s) : Antoni Selva, Carlos Perello Start Observation UT1 : 22:39:49 Disappearance UT2 : 22:41:09.41 +/- 0.020 Reappearance UT3 : 22:41:12.87 +/- 0.110 End Observation UT4 : 22:41:49 Duration [sec] : 3.46 Site Name : Sabadell Country Code : ES Observation Method : VID Time Source : GPS Instrument/Optics : M500 Record last modified : 2025-08-09 10:33:14 Source / Reference : SODIS (account required) Observer Comments : Reviewer: Strange drop of 0.4 mag at 22:41:11 far of the central prediction time (+22s). And too long duration. The predicted drop were 9.5 and duration 0.52s.Could be a short transient event of the star? Other drops at the same level are presents in the light curve but are shorter. I was doubting about the tag of the result (positive or negative). Finally I considered as a positive because the drop is clear and the other stars are not affected. It's clear this is not caused by the asteroid. Debris? A jet trai? A mistery until we go there, ;-)
