ESOP XL – Report of the 40th European Symposium on Occultation Projects
JOA 2021, Vol. 11, No. 4, Page 22 Author(s): Alex Pratt, Oliver KlösAbstract: The 40t h European Symposium on Occultation Projects (ESOP) took place in Białystok, Poland, during the weekend of August 28-29, whilst many countries were easing their Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. For the first time ESOP was held simultaneously as an in-person meeting and an online video conference. A total of 25 delegates attended the meeting and up to 55 others participated via Zoom, together representing Algeria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Catalonia, Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, India, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the USA. The meeting was followed by social excursions on the Monday and Tuesday.
