Forming a New Occultation Observation Group in East Asia

Abstract: A new organisation for occultation observation in East Asia : the International Occultation Timing Association - East Asia (IOTA/EA), has just started with its inaugural meeting on 2023_August 27 (UT). It is a joint organisation of professional and amateur astronomers. It consists of eight core members, three regional directors, and ordinary members who are officially registered after the inaugural meeting. The goal of IOTA/EA is to promote occultation observation and to be a partner in planetary exploration and other research.
