Abstract: On 2025 December 15, at 03:07:37.3 UTC, the small Jovian irregular moon Kallichore occulted the Gaia DR3 star 673238292608047232 as seen from northern Italy. Its shadow swept across our planet from Turkey to the western United States, crossing Europe from side to side. An international team, led by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC), took part in the observational campaign to support a possible flyby of Kallichore by ESA‘s JUICE spacecraft. In this article, we tell the story behind this amazing adventure, full of highs and lows, but with a happy ending
